Louisa Robb, Managing Director

With twenty years as an international finance executive, Louisa Robb is well versed in the highs and lows that professionals face in their careers.  Leveraging the skills that she has honed in diverse roles including Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff, and Head of Corporate Strategy, Louisa can assist by performing the role of career coach, professional mentor, facilitation partner or consultant.  Louisa brings extensive people skills, an understanding of the potent cultural idiosyncrasies that affect the work environment, and a personal perspective on the challenges encountered by women in business.

2008-2011 – Managing Director / Chief Operating Officer – Global Legal & Compliance Function, UBS AG (Zurich)

– Executed the transfer of all 1,800 legal and compliance professionals into one global function
– Created global processes for financial reporting and controlling in order to find cost efficiencies in the new function
– Mentored key professionals in the organisation, and advised peers and management on gender and diversity opportunities

2004-2008 – Managing Director / Head of Strategy Asia Pacific, UBS AG (Sydney)

– Evaluated, refined and consulted on both internally and externally generated new business proposals, looking for growth opportunities for the UBS Asia-Pacific franchises
– Prepared several new businesses initiatives with bottom-line impact including the Global Infrastructure Fund business

2000-2004 – Group Strategy Team – Head Office, UBS AG (Zurich)

– Detailed analysis of the market in China and recommended strategy for the Group’s co-ordinated entry
– Other projects focussed on business opportunities in Asia, global wealth management issues, organisational structure considerations, and branding strategy

1996-2000 – UBS AG (Zurich)

– “E-services” internet banking start up project – legal & branding
– Management support to member of the Group Executive Board
